Principal's Welcome to Russell School (Gr K-2)

As the leader of James W. Russell School, one of my goals is to foster the relationships among students, staff, parents and the community. Russell School has been at the heart of this community for many years and we all feel a sense of pride and respect for this school and its part in our community.

Our school vision is that Russell School is a fun, safe place to grow and learn. It is our belief that the educational journey at Russell School is one that we as a community must take together. As teachers, parents and children we strive to explore and achieve. I believe that if we work together as a learning community, we will be able to make a difference each and every day in the life of a child.

Teaching and learning are at the heart of what we do here at Russell School. While we focus our energies on developing reading, writing and math skills, we also strive to offer experiences that enrich and expand the learning for our children. We offer Social Science, Science, Health and Physical Education, Art, Music, Technology and Spanish. Also with the support of our Patriot Parents, we offer cultural enrichment and service learning activities for all students.

I thank you for this opportunity to work with such a great staff and community. I look forward to a rich and rewarding year. Please contact me if you have any comments or questions.
