The Vision
The GNGHS Student Council is dedicated to building school spirit and creating stronger bonds in our school and with our community.
Our Goals
The GNGHS Student Council has created the goal to participate in at least one community service event each month, as well as conducting at least one spirit-building event each month.
Current Events
The Student Council has made October the month for Community Service Fundraising for New Lungs For George. George Carmen and Scott Doyle came into the HS to educate our students on Cystic Fibrosis and George's condition and organization. Each class and a few clubs are holding fundraisers to benefit NLFG:
Seniors collected money for parking at the NG Fair
Juniors held a bottle drive
Sophomores are selling Halloween Candy Grams
Freshmen are selling NLFG rubber bracelets
Student Council held a bonfire and are selling NLFG T-shirts
Community Service Club is running ugly pants and ugly sweater contests
National Honor Society is raffling off a Halloween Gift Basket
Our goal is to raise $1,000 and we are well on our way....
