Patriot of the Day

We continue to recognize students for being positive citizens in our school.  Each day we select a Patriot of the Day for embodying the characteristics of high moral character, leadership, being helpful to others, kindness, bravery and displaying strong work ethic.  Teachers nominate students for their actions in or out of the classroom.  Students recognized since our last issue are:

Mindy Corey /  Jeff LaMarche /  Mitchell Madore

Congratulations and thank you to the recipients of the Patriot of the Day for their efforts in making our school community a better place.
Attention Eighth Grade Parents

The Return of Camp Middle Moose: Wilderness Wellness

There is still limited space available for Camp Middle Moose this summer.  Anyone interested who has not yet signed up should contact the main office as soon as possible!  Details of camp are below.

Camp Middle Moose is a summer program that combines fun with learning.  Our focus this year will be on wellness.  Students will have the opportunity to enjoy an overnight summer camp experience with students and teachers they already know, while parents have the comfort of knowing their children are safe with familiar, experienced adults.

This unique experience is designed to encourage students to explore the Maine woods and all that it has to offer as a form of recreation. Students will have the opportunity to participate in many activities including: swimming, hiking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, rock wall climbing, drama, music, campfire activities, team challenges, and paintball (small fee).  Children will create a wellness plan for the summer and track their activities.  Students will depart the Middle School on Sunday, August 10th and return on Friday, August 15th.  Transportation is provided to the private facility in Jackman, Maine.   The fee for the entire week including white water rafting on the Kennebec River is $350.  Brochures and applications are available in the main office.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact Ms. Allocca at 657-9422, Ms. Levesque at 657-4994 or Mr. Robbins at 657-4994.
